Espresso & Dark chocolate mousse -Desserts Masterclass with D’Lecta

Last week I was invited by D’Lecta Foods for a desserts masterclass at Hum Bhi Chef Studio Kitchen which is their own culinary training studio. Anyone interested in cooking or looking forward to improvising their cooking skills can join the classes at Hum Bhi Chef studio.

I always remembered D’Lecta by the cute little milk pouches that you get in flights. But little did I know about their huge range of products that are hitting the markets. From milk, variety of cheeses, dairy & non-dairy creams are fantastic in the day-to-day cooking as well as in special desserts. Earlier D’Lecta supplied products only to hotels & businesses but now we can buy them from supermarket shelves or from Hum Bhi Chef studio too..Yayy to good food!

Baked eggless cheescake

My favorite is the non-dairy whipping cream. Unlike normal cream, the non-dairy variant whips real quick into soft peaks with lot of volume.

All the recipes in our masterclass were made using D’Lecta products. I have added the secret recipe for Espresso & Dark chocolate mousse for you guys. Hope you enjoy it!

Serves : 8

Cooking Time : Nil

Preparation/garnish Time : 20-30 minutes

Time to set in fridge : 1 hours

Total Time : 1.5 hours

INGREDIENTS

Dark Chocolate ……………………………………………………….. 200g plus 1 tbsp grated

D’Lecta dairy cream ………………………………………………….. 100g

Instant Coffee…………………………………………………………………… 4 tbsp

D’Lecta non-dairy whipping cream……………………………………………………300g plus 40g

Canned cherries……………………………………………… 8

STEPS

  1. Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and keep aside
  2. Add a spoon of instant coffee powder to the chocolate
  3. Boil the cooking cream in a pan and pour over the chocolate immediately
  4. Stir to form a smooth sauce. Let it cool to room temperature
  5. Whip the whipping cream and fold all except 40g in the chocolate sauce

  6. Pour in individual glasses and keep in the refrigerator to set
  7. Serve chilled garnished with 40g whipped cream, cherries and grated chocolate
