Places have opened and closed in Powai but this one stands the test of time. Consistent quality in food & service and perfect café setup gets it 4.0 rating from me. I have been visiting Aromas regularly for their delicious breakfasts. A run in Powai must be supplemented with Aromas big breakfast, fresh sandwiches and coffees. And for those cheat days you need the sweet treats from Aromas. If you work in and around Powai, make sure to visit for their mains – salads, pastas etc. They have things in their menu to suit each hour of the day and every occasion. Make sure to go early as the place gets full pretty quickly.
One such morning I landed at Aromas for breakfast.. Thank goodness this is one of the few places that opens up early ☺
The restaurant is divided into two areas – one inside the restaurant and the other outside Al fresco perfect for watching the hustle bustle around you.
My friends and I grabbed a seat outside. The restaurant is maintained well and the outside area made perfect sense for morning breakfast. Started off with a Vienna. Espresso topped with fresh sweetened cream. Loved the tiny almond cookie that is served with it!
The menu is elaborate and has wide variety of sandwiches, salads and pastas.
We ordered the breakfast items. My favorite Aromas bug breakfast ☺ you need to workout before coming to Aromas to be able to finish this entire breakfast! 2 eggs cooked as per your preference, baked beans, sausages, hash brown, grilled tomato, sautéed mushrooms and bread. The poached egg is kind of test that I perform on restaurant 😁 if they get it right then I fully trust that the restaurant will serve me good food! I got what I wanted, creamy poached egg.. Delicious!
Next up was the chicken and cheese omelette. Any chicken dish that you call at Aromas, it’s guaranteed that the chicken will be soft and cooked to perfection.
Craving for more, we also ordered Spanish omelette. Filled with vegetables, melted cheese, this one was a delight!
Our stomachs were stuffed beyond capacity but heart wanted some more so we decided to wash it all down with some iced tea. I hate the overly sweetened iced teas that you get in some of the restaurants where I can’t decide if its an iced tea or a sherbet! But this shiny liquid tasted exactly like it should, perfectly brewed lightly sweet iced tea.
Aromas’ location is its main USP. People working in Hiranandani can visit Aromas for light café lunch or socialize over a glass of wine. Open since early in the morning it’s perfect for any meal of the day and it won’t cost you a bomb. So when are we meeting for breakfast at Aromas?
