Avada Kedavra, Butterbeer, Puking Pastilles, Azkaban, Hogwarts Castle, Gringotts Bank..If you could understand what I am talking about, you surely are a Harry Potter fan! Now what if I told you that there is a place where you can experience most of these (if not all) magical things ? At Warner bros studio London you can go behind the scenes of Harry Potter films. It’s a place where you can leave your muggle world behind and feel like a wizard for a day. Sounds exciting?
2017..phew what a year it was!
A lot changed for me in this year – both on Personal and professional front. Changing my base to London was the best thing that happened in 2017, it brought with it a lot of challenges as well. Finding a new job (Yes, I am not one of those ‘quit my corporate job to travel 365 days a year’ kind of a person :)), saying goodbyes to my family & close friends and thinking of how The Nomadic Gourmet can bring you the best in travel & food. Let me take you through The Nomadic Gourmet’s year of travel & food.
New year, new place and new memories. 2017 was one such year for me. I moved to London in January 2017. It was a big move and After setting everything up and exploring the city I was ready for a short break. Being a Game of thrones fan I already had a list of filming locations I was dying to visit but one of them won this time. And I have to admit it was another TV series that made the decision for me -The Fall. Absolutely loved this BBC drama that was filmed here. If you haven’t guessed it yet it was city of Belfast – the beautiful city in Northern Ireland.
Last month I visited Bali and truly immersed myself in a Balinese way of life. From the moment I told my friends and colleagues that its going to be a 15 day vacation, I was asked few questions – “15 days in Bali? What are you going to do for so many days?” “Isn’t that just one island? Can’t you do cover more places in 15 days than just Bali? My common response was, wait till you see it all in my blog! If you have done only the above things in Bali, I will tell you what you have missed and give you a reason to visit again. If you haven’t been to Bali, sit tight, this post is going to tell you why Bali should be your next travel destination.
